Tangalooma wakes up with Today!

Tangalooma Island Resort was abuzz with excitement as we woke up with The Today Show on Friday, March 15th. Arriving in true style the day prior via helicopter, charismatic Weatherman Tim Davies, wasted no time immersing himself in the vibrant energy of the resort.

One highlight of the morning was the showcase of the iconic #TangaLeaningPalm, an Insta famous photo opportunity that has also made its mark in Hollywood, featuring in Ticket to Paradise, alongside A-listers George Clooney and Julia Roberts. Whilst testing his balance walking down the leaning palm, Tim interviewed Hotel Operations Manager, Henk, and the conversation naturally gravitated towards Tangalooma's recent accolade by Lonely Planet, dubbing it one of the World's 100 Best Beaches.

But the fun didn't stop there. Tim Davies, jumped off the palm and onto some wheels, driving on our beautiful beach on an ATV quad bike and then effortlessly glided along on a segway, showcasing the diverse array of activities available at Tangalooma Island Resort.

Not to be outdone, our guests had their moment in the spotlight, standing shoulder to shoulder with Tim during the live news cross. And what's a day of adventure without a bit of friendly competition? Australian cricketing legend Andy Bichel joined in on the action and was featured as a special guest in the final live cross, treating guests, and Tim, to a spirited game of beach cricket.
